Dear Wayne & Barb, Thank you so much for a nice week at your lodge. You two are a pleasure to be around. You made us feel welcome, and you provide nice, clean cabins to stay in. Many in our world have lost their love for others. People don’t seem to have much patience or energy to deal with others. You though, seem to enjoy people. You have a very hospitable spirit, and we really appreciate it. Thanks! If you have a few minutes, I was wondering if you could send me the Lake Trout recipe that you told me about. Bud has never liked the Trout because he keeps preparing it the same way he prepares Walleye. I think your recipe will change his mind. Enjoy your summer, and hopefully we will see you next year. The fan was a great idea. Whenever we came to you, you were always available and in a good humour even if you were busy. We never felt we were a pain & bugging you. Dear Wayne, Barb, Mike, Sharon, Lucy and Maggie, THANK YOU on behalf of my brother stefan, my dad and my grandfather otto. We would like to thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful lodge and especially for being such gracious hosts and treating us like family. For the five days we enjoyed here we now go home with some wonderful memories and some new friends that we will always remember dearly. Thank you for the wonderful meals, especially the steak dinner tonight, it was one of the best I've ever had. On this trip we also learned some great lessons: -how to filet the fish -how to get rid of pine needles on your rod -how to drive a boat -how to use down-riggers -how to figure out the weather for the next day by looking at the Big Dipper at night -how to figure out what type of bait the fish are biting on by looking in their belly when you filet them. Thank you Wayne and Mike for sharing your knowledge and years of experience with us. Our Kipawa vacation was a lot of fun and allowed us to enjoy some new experiences: -mushroom picking -catching my first walleye -seeing a Bald Eagle catch and eat a Mink -seeing the Big Dipper -wonderful scenery and fall colors -meet new friends, including Lucy and Maggie Thanks again and we hope to see you next summer for more fun and a new Kipawa experience!!!
